“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” — Steve Jobs

Last month, we were thrilled to announce that 3Ci was acquired by MAU Workforce Solutions, an independent, family-owned company with more than 40 years of experience connecting qualified candidates to companies that need them. To give you a behind-the-scenes look at this big news, we sat down with 3Ci’s president, Rob MacLane.

So, Rob, tell us a bit about 3Ci’s recent acquisition. How are you feeling?

It’s all pretty amazing. 3Ci is a relatively small, family-owned company, and we grew by 10X overnight. I love that MAU is also family-owned with strong values. Organizational change like this is notoriously challenging from a cultural standpoint, but I’ve watched our team embrace it with open arms. There’s just so much alignment between the two companies’ cultures and values. I think that gives our team peace of mind while building excitement about what’s to come.

“This is exactly the type of organization that we could hope to be acquired by. MAU is a great company and a perfect fit for 3Ci.”

How do MAU Workforce Solutions’ values align with 3Ci’s?

If you look at both of our mission statements, the alignment between the two companies in incredible. MAU is dedicated to making lives better by delivering workforce solutions globally. 3Ci combines honesty, integrity, and delivery with culture, purpose and mission to change lives. Both companies are committed to impacting people, both in the workplace and beyond.

Second, I would say both companies place a heavy emphasis on service–for our clients, employees, and communities. MAU is incredibly dedicated to helping people become better professionals. I’m really excited to implement those practices within our company.

“By combining forces, 3Ci and MAU is bringing clients 85 years of experience in talent delivery.”

Finally, I’d say both companies are growth-oriented. 3Ci and MAU have found a way to put people first while propelling sizeable business growth. I think that’s unique in today’s business environment and a testament to our shared company values.

What does this mean for 3Ci customers? What can they expect?

From a services and capabilities standpoint, our customers can expect more. More resources, systems, tools, support, and opportunities. With added capital and MAU’s strong marketing, legal, and HR team by our side, we’re in a good position to scale and better support our clients.

As a division of MAU, 3Ci will remain the same tech staffing and consulting specialists our customers have grown to depend on. We’re working to make this transition completely seamless for our customers.

What should 3Ci customers know about MAU?

MAU is the eighth largest privately held business in Georgia, one of the top Native American Owned businesses in the US, a three-time winner of of Inavero’s “Best of Staffing Client Award,” and have also been recognized by the American Staffing Association and the National Safety Council with the “Safety Standard of Excellence Mark.”

Needless to say, they’re an impressive group. After getting to know Randy and the rest of MAU’s executive team, I knew it was a strong match. MAU just celebrated their 40th anniversary, and we’re thrilled to be part of their story moving forward.

What’s next for the 3Ci team?

It’s a lot of crossing T’s and dotting I’s right now as we work towards a strategic plan for 3Ci as a division of MAU. We’re heads down on a services strategy and are excited to bring added value to 3Ci and MAU customers. I tell my team all the time that the only way an organization can provide advancement opportunities is through company growth. Right now, we’re closer than ever to being able to provide those types of opportunities to our employees. That means so much to me.
